  • Beautiful place on Penang Hill. If you’re already walking up or taking the line make sure to visit the Habitat as well. We highly enjoyed the trail through the forest, even though we didn’t had the best weather conditions. Nice chance to get out of the busy city center and enjoy nature 🙌🏼

  • Fantastic views, and there is a lot to do up on the hill. We really liked the nature walk.If you don't like waiting, you can buy express tickets online, and skip the line. On weekends or holidays it can get very busy with long waiting times. The view on top is worth it though, and you can spend a whole day here.

  • This is a first class attraction definitely worth visiting. We were impressed from the beginning with the design and layout of this forest experience.   • AMAZING. Such a memorable experience! We absolutely loved it! If you love nature this is the place for you. The entire park is very well maintained and filled with unique plants. We visited on a Tuesday, it wasn't busy at all. We got to get very close to lots of wildlife, take your time and be patient and you're destined to spot some too! The canopy walk provided stunning views of Penang, the structure itself is something to marvel at!

  • An incredible experience! Definitely don’t miss this during your Penang trip. The views are of course fascinating and a true highlight. Immersing yourself into the rainforest while also educating yourself about it: that’s what The Habitat offers. You might see monkeys, huge squirrels, the most colorful butterflies and more. Truly take your time to enjoy this unique place.

  • Night walk @ The Habitat

    Started with the ending nightview on the top tree walk. Then we walked back with a few guides who guided us through to the exit. Meanwhile we got a lot of information about the habitat and its flora and fauna. Also we were very lucky and happy to to detect and discover some different species of animals and insects . A recent new and special experience you don't want to miss out!

  • Great nature walk, well explained.

    This is a great nature walk, well explained with signs and directions. We spent about 4 hours, walking around, taking in the sights. We saw a monkey, black giant squirrels, lots of butterflies, birds, plants, flowers,... the list goes on. It was heartening to see many school kids with their teachers taking the tour. I'm glad that the next generation is being taught about nature, and our the environment. Bonus : It was also a lot cooler at the Habitat, than the 'plains' below. And the funicular train to the top and back was interesting too.

  • Best thing on Penang Hill + Guided tour is 10/10!

    Best thing on Penang Hill especially for tourist who want to see more of the preserved nature element of Penang Hill. We got the guided tour and it was such an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Avvinash, was very knowledgeable and showed us all the bits of the reserve you might miss walking unguided. He showed us herbs (cloves, ginger, turmeric) that grow on the hill as well as animals, birds and insects. The highlight was the Vampire Crab which is local to the Penang hill. Overall 10/10 for the guided tour, highlight of Penang for us!

  • Forest Bathing at the Habitat, a must try

    We visited the Habitat at Penang Hill and really enjoyed the forest bathing session. It helps to awaken our 5 senses and we learned quite few things. The guide, Lau, and his assistant Choo, really help us to have the most enjoyable experience and sharing lots of insights. Highly recommend for those looking for stress relief activities in a forest.

  • Underrated but amazing place to go!

    This place was awesome! loved the ambience, the place was also very well taken care of. One of the guides, Daniel was very enthusiastic and helpful. We were lucky to see a rare insect in the wild shown by him. He also shared an interesting fact that one of the leaves there can be used as a soap so we all just randomly ran and washed our hands with the leaves theres also a "hidden" cafe inside which was nice for lepak lepak. definitely will come again in the future!
